As a monarchy, it was ruled by a king or a queen. Half of the stories started when King Lento reigned. The other half started when his daughter, Aureli reigned.
The people of Zatga was divided into several 'classes':
- The Royal Family
- The Commoners
- The Beggar's Realm
- The Underground Citizen
The Royal Family
Those who are listed as the members of the Royal Family are the ones who have blood connection or still in the same family with the monarch. Also called as the Nobles, they are usually rich by birthright, though there are probabilities that they are not.
The unusual thing about the Royal Family is that their hairs are always golden.
The Commoners
The Commoners are the normal people that has no family relationship with the Royal Family. Their hairs are commonly darker: red, brown, or black. They are not poor, though they usually are not richer than the Nobles.
The Commoners have several limitations in case of accessing the Palace. There are several places that restricted the existence of the commoners, though the reason is never clear.
The Beggar's Realm
The Beggar's Realm is the city for beggars and thieves. The location of this place is hidden and the only ones that may approach are only beggars and thieves. The Realm is separated from the main city with a crumbled wall and the buildings of the Realm are all shabby and dark.
In front of the crumbled wall was a beggar in a shabby cloak, a spy and the Realm's guardian. Anyone from the Realm could be the Beggar, from a real beggar to a thief.
The Underground Citizen
The Underground was located - the name explains a lot - under the land of Zatga. Linked by sewers and underground pathways, the city was filled with criminals (thieves are not included here) and the outcasts. The Underground is also hidden from the upper world and only several people can access, as the sewers and the underground pathways are quite a maze for the upper world.
The Underground is most probably the most dangerous place in Zatga.
Zatga is naturally untouched by modernization, though several modern things have successfully entered the land. Though electricity are common nowadays, cars and other modern transportations are seldom used. Digital things - especially the expensive ones - are quite hard to get and therefore only several people (mostly the Nobles) have them.
The monarch is usually helped by a General. A General acts as a supervisor and an advisor. He holds the responsibility to defense the land, to give advises to the monarch and to protect the Royal Family, especially the monarch.
The kingdom of Zatga is surrounded by the western forest and the northern hills, with the Dential River rushes through the land.
The land has four seasons: the Spring, the Summer, the Autumn and the Winter. However, there is 18 months in a year in a Zatga almanac.
